PASSY 7.6.26

Hello art friends!

An invitation to take part in the brand new ‘Festival d’Arts sacrés d’Assy’ has led to lots of new painting this spring, large and small. There are three pieces which will be featured in a concert on Saturday 4th July 2026 in the church at Plateau d’Assy, which is famous for the rich variety of art it houses, including works by Matisse, Bonnard, Chagall and Rouault. But more of that later…

Coming up very soon is the group exhibition connected to the 4th July concert, with the theme ‘Comme un souffle’, which opens on Friday 19th June 2026 at the Cremerie, Plateau d’Assy. The artists will be present for the evening of the private view, but if you’d like to visit at another time, please email me and I’ll do my best to meet you there.

If you’ve been keeping half an eye on my work you’ll notice a distinct change of palette this season, with aqua, blues and greens dominating, evoking the lakes and gouilles of Passy. The show at the Cremerie features large canvases and small panels in oil and acrylic, and also includes work by three more local artists, Barbara Joanny, Elodie Joanna and Somaye Pakar - it’s a real pleasure to be working alongside them this summer.
